Before you head to bed at night, apply a good quality lip balm. After waking up, use a damp washcloth or a toothbrush to gently rub off any dead or dry skin.
2. TRY A SCRUB
A lip scrub contains two components: an exfoliant and a nourishing agent. The emollient or the nourishing agent provides a hydrating base for your exfoliator, making it easier to apply to your lips. These two go hand in hand for moisturizing and smoothing out your lips.
Use lip balm or vaseline to keep your lips hydrated. Drink a lot of water so that your lips do not dry up.
Vitamin E is the best for your lips. Use vitamin capsules, vitamin E boosts circulation and may help generate new skin cells, making your lips softer.
Use moisturizers like vaseline, petroleum jelly if your lips are very dry. A non-irritant balm would also do.
6. AVOID LIPSTICKS
Lipsticks should be avoided as far as possible to prevent it from damaging your lips. Lipsticks contain harmful level of chromium, lead, aluminium, cadmium and other toxic chemicals that are harmful for the body as well as the lips.
